I've seen their ads around but have not needed their service yet. Here is their rap sheet, so to say.

BBB Review of Deep Blue Yacht Supply, Inc. - Marine Electronic Equipment Repair Service - Davie, FL

BBB is an association of business owners who pay to join and be listed, they are not independent. However, there is little else available to get information on a small business and normally the bad businesses will not spend the money to join BBB. You can look up the address on Google Maps and satellite overlay and see if it is in a residential area (operating out of the guy's garage) or in a business district (store front). But in this day and age of computers there are numerous excellent small businesses operating out of their basement/garage. Keeps costs down.
- - If the address is a PMB (Postal Mail Box provider) then that is not good as they are not willing to publish their actual physical location. If in Florida you can check the State list of businesses and local government to see if the outfit is licensed (some areas in Florida do not require a local license.).
- - All in all, you takes your chances - I assume the operation is legit unless something obvious pops up like they do not accept credit cards and take only cash/checks. Banks are very wary about who they will allow to use the credit card system as the bank has to make good on your money if the vendor is not honest and reputable.
