Nah. It's mine. The pic was taken to show off my bulkhead to bulkhead Christmas decorations. I always go all out. Dunno how pic got attached to the Guppy one but when I saw it, I started laughing about the "armchair", and decided not to edit it out. The noobs need to see what a real boat is all about occasionally. Note fancy designer tp dispenser, and squared away for'ard berth.

The last tragic note is the "inspiration" for the 7 year olds flight record attemp was another youngest to fly over the USA who was 11 at the time of her record. But the death of Jessica haunted her and a few years later she suicided.

Re: Another "Youngest" Record Challenge Dies...

Young people take stupid risks and some die, with and without parents consent and or encouragement. Why make such a big deal about it being a "record attempt". Would it be more acceptable if the father took his daughter on an RTW flight as an adventure?

Perhaps we should ban the GoPro and youtube as it encourages people young and old to put themselves at risk just for the "views"

And what's annoying is that if one of those dumbasses falls the building owner will get sued.

On the mainland the family would probably get sued and made to pay for the damage and cleanup afterwards

Now an 8 year will have to kill a gun instructor to set a new record.

SCHAUMBURG, IL—In a turn of events that has stunned the worldwide medical community, local infant Nathan Jameson, born just six days ago, has become the youngest person ever to permanently and irrevocably lose all faith in humanity.

“This shatters all previous records,” University of Chicago psychologist Douglas McAllister said Monday. “In all of documented medical history, there is no case of a newborn taking less than four months to develop the mental faculties required to grasp the full extent of this existential nightmare we call life on earth.”

... At press time, there were unconfirmed reports that Baby Nathan had used the wind-up mobile above his crib to hang himself.

Re: Another "Youngest" Record Challenge Dies...

Commentator was right about one thing, many places in the US children are taught how to use guns, I was 12 when I got my first big buck, but had been shooting rifles and shotguns for a couple of years. Never shot a pistol until I was an adult though, never had much use for one really. Down South here now if you don't get your first deer before your a teenager people think somethings wrong with you. My wife teaches in a rural area and has never been hunting, all her students feel sorry for her, think her Father was a terrible man for not taking her hunting when she was a child.

In a completely inconsequential event that has already captured the imaginations of thousands, amateur sailor Michael Gilmer, 29, announced Monday he would be embarking on a sea journey around the world to actively decrease awareness of significant global issues.

Gilmer's expedition, which will cover approximately 28,000 nautical miles and bring absolutely no exposure to any urgent environmental or social causes whatsoever, is expected to last roughly 90 days and draw millions of eyes around the world directly away from events of actual, crucial import.

"I hope to use my lifelong love of sailing to take part in a completely irrelevant novelty stunt that in no way benefits humanity," Gilmer said of the non-news event that will needlessly cycle in and out of the top spot on news websites for weeks. "The goal here is to really make people think about a young, overconfident ******* on a boat rather than any pressing matters of substance that actually affect people's lives." ...
