BTW hi mike are you ready for spring breakup yet?
Yup ... we raced ahead of this latest weather whopper and just got into Canada ahead of the storm. Now hunkered down in Windsor while it passes us by.

We launch end of April, so have about a month to get the boat ready. Hope it survives this latest storm

Because complete anarchy has proved to not be much fun for people, we have as a society developed laws. That hardly equals complete control and inhibition of individuality however.

It's sailing related because you could just go sailing instead of reading and responding.

Perhaps Henry David Thoreau would be an anchor out now a days as cabins in the woods are pretty pricey in many parts of the country.

Being a bit of a misfit myself, I find solitude in the liveaboard anchor out lifestyle.

“The sail, the play of its pulse so like our own lives: so thin and yet so full of life, so noiseless when it labors hardest, so noisy and impatient when least effective.”

Re: America ... U.S.A.

I think grandpa David was a sailor awlright: a cruiser actually, given the hut.

Today anchors seem a far more political subject than politicks. ;-)
