Given the delay in answering I suspect Pirate Girl was the answer!

This is starting to turn into a Series of "Lost". Lots of wild meandering with many side stories, BUT! Will we ever get told the end of the story??

Maybe the answer is inside RH's original post/story.He did mention checking the moreing lines and being surounded by concrete.Could it possibly be the bollard he was tied off on???.I think this will go untill someone gets it right.Mudnut.

I guess now we really know what happened...

It's so obvious!

A sea monster must have come up and taken him away!

Dismembered troll hitting the deck...

That would be the sound of the body of a hideously dismembered troll hitting the deck.

Can someone in San Diego slip down and check if RH is OK, prehaps source of the "THUD" was unhappy with him posting the incident and has taken revenge - more weight to the chinese sub theory although it is hard to go past the Prirate Girl idea.

Have not heard a "thud" on the boat, but while in the garden I saw an eagle drop my neighbors cat on our roof. My wife reported a thud.

The thud is going to be our jaws hitting the ground when Rebel Heart tells us he just wanted to see how long he could keep our attention.

It was probably the Pirate Girl drop kicking a racoon, which hit the Navy seal, who accidently fired off his spear gun, hitting a Black Night flying Cormorant who happened to be carrying a coconut, which dropped and hit the deck.
