Wheels, just kidding about the bird fishing (hence the night vision scope)
But you've made me think, there is a bird that fishes at night. The Black Heron, lives in the Great Lakes area, but they winter down south. Dropped fish on deck.. thats my flimsy theory and I'm sticking to it! .............birds probably to small to drop a fish that can make a real thud!

We have a Black Crowned Night Heron around here that does the same thing. Although a small fish hitting the deck would sound more like a thwap than than thud...and he definitely said thud. Perhaps an albatross dropped an albacore?

Also, the cormorant bird fishes at night. We've had them make funny noises under the hull, below the waterline and seen them come up after coming out to investigate.

BTW: That girl is too skinny?? Guess I like skinny chicks. Looks a lot like the wife, only taller.

So when is RebelHeart going to give us the answer... I've been sitting on the edge of my seat all day waiting... !!!

The topping lift holding the boom failed and the boom hit the roof?

A drunk fell off the concrete wall onto the deck?

Do you have racoons in San Diego? "Racoon climbs mast and oops!"
Here in the northeast U.S. they are into everything, couple of years ago
launch operator got into small launch after dark, everyone thought he
had lost it. Standing on the seat going in circles... young racoon had stowed
away and surprized him, almost jumped overboard (launch operator not racoon!)

I had the same response when I saw that sign.

I reckon RH fell off his bunk after his second beer, heard a thud in his ringing ears and is wavering from telling us what really happened!
