Re: A sailing story thread - feel free to add

Gwinneth shook herself as she woke up. What a dream! And yet, with the boat threatening to pitch-pole in the seas, she is still fighting the urge to deal with that form that is still heaving into buckets in the cabin.

Winds have now picked up, and the temperature drops. She is a skilled helmsman, but this is testing the limits of her experiences and capabilities. Right now she is glad he didn't talk her into that bendytoy everyone one was dissing... she had a Hunter!

and it was taking on water as the hull was substandard and the deck to hull joint was held together with Superglue and bailing twine stiched every 3 feet terminating in a slip knot! Damnit man she says to the pirate captan why did we not buy an old school solid laminate full keel real mans blue water boat designed by Ed Brewer?

He looks at her with a serious look "because if we had we would still be trying to sail it out of the bay at 2 knots againist a 3 knot tide"!

Eventually they made it to the dock where they were entertained with great sea stories. Eventually the conversation turned to Anchors. Six week later they agreed to disagree.
