Re: A Gentle Ski Through The woods.

Holy crap Coops are you a skier? I got to tell you, I have done this exact scene a couple of thousand times. The runs get tracked up quick and then into the trees we go. Where I live there are 3 major ski areas within about 45 minutes. So I used to get out quite a bit. I injured my shoulder so I can't go maybe this whole season.
It just snowed about 2 feet in the past couple of days and 3 or 4 feet in the last week or so. Damn.

Yes. I am a powderhound and proud of it.

Re: A Gentle Ski Through The woods.

Never been on a pair, or a single one for that matter, of skis in my life. I never go anywhere that is colder than where I am.

Re: A Gentle Ski Through The woods.

I guess it looks crazy to you but at any resort there are the hardcore skier/boarders and this is what we do all the time. There are probably a couple of hundred (thousand?) of us at my little local hill.

Re: A Gentle Ski Through The woods.

Haven't been on skis in 30 years.
What a blast from the past!

The last time I went skiing, I parked my skis outside the lodge to go in and have lunch.
As I was sticking them in the rack, some kid said,
"Wow! Head 360's, those used to be good skis."
I figured it was time to hang it up.
That's when I got into sailing.

Re: A Gentle Ski Through The woods.

Head 360s were invented in 1967. You are old.
