New (again) Bahamas Fishing Regulations
It looks like the Bahamas just recently eased up on the draconian fishing regulations that were implemented last winter. You can now get conch again, pelagics(bluewater fish like tuna, wahoo, dolphin) are increased although it won't affect the average cruiser too much. The big change is from a #20 per boat limit of scaled fish (which was ridiculous because one nice grouper would have exceeded the limit) to #60 or 20 fish, whichever you hit first. Remember to be sure and have them add spearfishing with polespear or Hawaiian sling to your fishing license when you clear in if you want to spearfish.
I'm really glad to see these more sensible regulations, which will allow them to still manage their fisheries for sustainable harvest without punishing the tourists.

Good news. A return to something closer to sanity.
Any change in lobster? I guess I should hit their website. The document above (yes, I clicked for a larger version) is just too small for my old eyes. George
