Young sailors documenting journeys on Youtube

For about a year now I have been watching Youtube videos of young sailors document their journeys around the world. I have found them highly enjoyable and they remind me of a time when I myself was filled with the same youthful vigor they display. The spirits of these kids show me the future of the lifestyle I had been so blessed to live (and now cannot continue for health reasons) is in good hands. I am posting a link below that has a few of the video series linked together so that watching the videos in sequence is now possible. I really enjoy S/V Delos and Wicked Salty. There is another series I'd also recommend called Sailing LaVagabonde that is not apart of the page but an be found on Youtube. Anyways, I hope these videos bring you as much enjoyment as they have brought me and if you have any other suggestions please let me know below.
I have also written emails to a few of them and have always gotten a response. Anyways I thought I'd share their story. I only wish this would have been around when I was their age. (Thats ok though, its all upstairs and thats good enough for me) Enjoy.

I actually met up with sv delos while on another boat in Vanuatu a few years ago! They were a great bunch to be around, two brothers from seattle and their friend. Check out there video of diving with manta rays off of mexico, unbelievable.

Theyve been a great inspiration to follow. Last I saw them was in Honiara Solomon Islands while drinking beer and warchin the rugby world cup. I hope to see them and s/v Infinity one day. Best 2 months or so Ive had on the water.

I've been following all these vlogs and devoured them over the last couple weeks. I'm wondering how much it costs to crew on Delos. Any ideas?

i would figure $1000 a max with plenty of fun, no idea though really.. i just figure gas, food, dive tanks, passport costs, maintenance..

It's expensive enough that his brother needed outside work to get back on the boat. I've got to give props to Brian on Delos. That is a highly technological boat. I wouldn't know my head from my ass if something broke on it. He seems to be able to maintain and repair everything. I'm a novice sailor. How much could I learn on such a boat? I'm more the type of "go small, go simple, go now."

Did anyone else wonder if this is a swingers boat after the equator/Neptune crossing? I was raised in a conservative state/country. I'm libertarian and non-religious but it seemed weird for the ladies to get into their birthday suits.

The men are from America, the women are not. There maybe some cultural bias on my part.

A lot of the people on yachts in the south pacific, quite frankly, dont quite give a rats arse bout societal cloth norms.. i mean its not like its an evil or anything.. more a normal

Good on ya! It was just unusual from my perspective. I stated that I came from a different upbringing. That's all.

If you haven't checked out Sailing La Vagabonde that is also a good one. There is a girl on there that is absolutely beautiful. She has a great attitude and WOW can she sing! I believe it is her and her boyfriend that are circumnavigating and they put out good videos as well. They are Aussies and have made half the journey so far. Good series but not on link i posted above. You will have to do some searching to find them.
