Re: Wintering in the Cape Verde Islands

Hi Thanks for the replies.
We are looking for somewhere warm for the winter or maybe longer. We are both a little tired with the Med sailing bit and thought about going a bit farther South this year Canaries is looking good any ideas on Marina prices and where is good for entertaining kids?

If you are sailing into the wind you are going the wrong way!!!

As to Faial,( from the canaries ) ???? To go too the algarve , are you on a world cruise of what. !!!!!

Madeira -> Lagos direct for me.

No.. done Portimao.. Madeira.. Faial then 3-4 other islands and jumped off from Terceira for Cascais and back down to the Algarve a couple of times... 6 days... 5 days.. then 8days back to Cascais.. very pleasant couple of months.. happen to think the Azores are awesome in the summer..
