Wintering in Gibraltar - advice and recommendations

We will be picking a new FP Astrea 42 mid next year from La Rochelle and start our journey back to Australia. Due to the Schengen visa requirements, we have pretty much decided to spend our first 'wintering' in Gibraltar and are looking for experiences and recommendations to help with our planning - marina's, activities, weather, others non-Schengen places to visit from there, or anything else you think would be worth knowing. Queensway marina if you can get a space.. book well in advance and arrive on time or you will lose it.
Non Schengen visits.. UK and Morocco..
