The sink nozzel from the aft head, through the port above the sink, works nicely. (BTDT--- Works best if you have dock-side water or a water-maker. Hot water via heater, tea kettle, or, in our case, a few sun-shower bags on deck for a few hours!)

Cheers...
and I thought about that one.... I've installed one of those on-demand units from Eco-temp so I've got unlimited hot water but if I were to fill up the cockpit with hot water, I'm afraid I'd have all my neighbors comming over thinking it was a hot-tub............

Oh yes, now I'm crying. I forgot about giving up my drill press. I actually brought it on board when we moved on full-time to go cruising. It just didn't fit with the rest of all our crap and I finally gave it away before leaving.

Hockey and drill press - yep, that's what I miss.

Sniff…

I had that same conundrum. In the end, I took a sawzall but got rid of all other saws except a very small handsaw, and of course a hacksaw.

My reasoning was that most of the stuff I would need to cut, the sawzall would be a good, brute choice and that I could borrow a finer tool if needed. So far, this has been the correct choice for us, but we don't have any woodwork to maintain or rebuild. The sawzall has mostly been used for cutting fiberglass, metal and rough cutting plywood for temporary forms, etc.

Re: What Do You Miss.......

Washing machine. Could add one if I sacrificed a lot of space that's devoted to other equipment and storage but even the wife said no.

For tools, I was thinking a proper table saw but a drill press might be even better. No substitute if you're trying to make a hole in stainless. I had a friend that kept a small sheet of plywood stored under his mattress that was cut and drilled so you could attach a med sized circular saw underneath to make a DIY table saw. Haven't used or even looked at one but I have heard about similar gadgets that will hold a hand drill to make it work like a press. Anyone ever try one of these?

When I was cruising the Caribbean I occasionally missed swimming in fresh water. So nice to just hop out and sun dry and not be scratchy and sticky.

Once in a while I missed civilization shopping. Go to a grocery and get fresh anything. Walk into a Worst Marine and 99% walk out with everything you need to fix the broken framus on your boat.

Maids, what are those?

... and the problem with a hot tub party is what?

I really miss my washing machine, and a dishwasher that doesn't complain about how many dishes I dirtied in the process of making a good dinner for him.

I miss a bath tub............
Our boat has a full size tub, in 8 years it has been used as a tub instead of a shower exactly once when my grandkids visited. I don't miss anything but I do know what I would miss if I had to move ashore.

My wife had her book club meeting at our house. While helping with the clean up one of her friends asked "Where's the dishwasher?"

Wife replied, "He's upstairs watching TV."
