What do You do all Day?
What do you do all day? At anchor, in marina, coastal, on passges, warm weather, cold weather, etc. What do you wish you were doing? I can think of a bunch of things, but I'm always up for suggestions.

Re: What do you do all day?
Well, I spent most of the other day thinking (working up the courage really) to drill two holes in the forward deck for the chain stopper installation. After that it was only a half hour removing the core and refilling with Epoxy.

Check out this thread for starters:

Can't say I have ever heard a cruiser complain of boredom .

Could you elaborate in how did you remove the core?
I've been trying but was very difficult

Re: What do you do all day?
I rewire bilge pumps, grade papers, check zincs, write books, check CF, read books, plan trips, rewire speakers, fill tanks, buy tickets, check CF, make love, cook pancakes, drink beer, read more books, grade more papers, fix leaks, swim, dive, hike, bike, grade more papers, drink wine, check CF, sleep.
Tomorrow, I'll do the same, although sometimes I sail.

Re: What do you do all day?
I extracted a very dead and well "lodged in" 30 cm catfish from the aircon seawater intake of Hazy Daze. It was bad to wake up at 4am with the temperature hitting 33°C, but I reckon Mr. Catfish had a much worse day than we did...
Yachting is so glamorous......

No, don't make such long term plans.
First rule when cruising is "All plans are written in sand at low tide"

Walter:
I used the technique recommended by Maine Sail.
Starting with a Brad Point bit to cut the top skin followed by a Dremel tool with the recommended #115 bit to route out the core between the decks skins. Works very well. I hope to post on the project in the near future on my boat blog. Hopefully, it should be finished with it today or tomorrow.

hahahaha. Mike I am going through the same re installing a deck wash hose fitting at the bow. Not only that I've got to drill two bulkheads to lead the hose there. I think this may be the weekend!
