Well, Here We Are

Hello all: It's been a while since I have posted in great length......when I joined this forum, I was asking questions like "what about this sailboat?" and "How do you downsize when moving aboard?"...well it's been four months since we bought our CSY 44 Leighward......moved on board new years eve.....since then we have been refitting her with a passion that i have never felt in my life........I won't go into detail but 80K later and we are just aboutgone.( play on words)......Lol Everything we own is aboard. Almost all systems are on line and working.....scored a older 10 ft avon RIB today for 400 bucks...got to get the davits built( SS welder on board) catching our dinner every night...getting tired of Sheep's head, but its good protein.....told everyone at the marina that I do SS repair, now it's hard to find the time to work on my boat, but hey I set the schedule......beer and a kiss from the wife at the end of the day still taste sweet.....hope to be in the rio dulce by june.......pointy side forward .....ed

Well it's New Years Day 2011. this marks a whole year since we moved aboard Leighward, our CSY 44. We haven't made it very far from Cortez Fl. where we started, but were in Marathon and still heading south east to the Islands. we decided to pick up some work while we were here, so I got a job at a local boat yard. We try not to make plans on when we are leaving again, when we get tired of this place we will sail to another. Other than that ,the boat is doing great and life is simple and good!!!!!! Fair winds and Happy new year to all.......Ed
