Vancouver BC Liveaboard help

I am trying to find liveaboard in the Vancouver area. I am on the waitlist for Heather Civic, but there is Skyline Marina in Richmond that is close to the water but you have to get through three bridges, one of which is 39' at high tide. Does anyone know this place, and if it is doable? I have not measured my rig but estimates go from 40'-42' to waterline.

Skyline marina is at the most western arm of the Fraser river,,you have only two Bridges to pass beneath on your way to the Straight of Georgia, both of which should give adequate clearances for your masts.
Or are you asking about access to Vancouver City from within the Fraser river system FROM Richmond?

Re: Vancouver BC Liveaboard help

It was leaving the marina to go to the ocean. The guy at the marina said one of the bridges from there he thought was only 39' high, which seems like it would be cutting things pretty close. Do you have a different height for it? If I can get my boat under those bridges, I will be pretty darn happy. Thanks for your help!

Bridges within the Vancouver Richmond area run 18 meters to 19 meters any swing bridges you would have to call ahead for opening.

18 meters is the minimum for any bridge in the Vancouver Richmond area.

you can call this number for any Marine safety related information: 604-665-9086

Shelter island is a great cheaper alternative, there is another in Annie's Slough as well.

Re: Vancouver BC Liveaboard help

Thanks very much for the info. Those both seem pretty far away from the water, and I do like to sail as regularly as possible, so I am just going to stay at Point Roberts and tough it out on the list. One week away from living on the boat and nine years of planning and talking... now the doing!
