lol! Yep, went through the same process with all my tools!
Finally sold my big stuff (woodworking), gave the majority of my hand power tools to my brother, keeping my drill, sander & jig saw. Hand tools, kept 1 hacksaw, 2 sets of socket wrenches, etc., etc.

As I used each tool, I would set it aside into a seperate pouch and while I have not yet gotten rid of the “extra” wrenches, screw drivers, etc. I’m getting ready to do so.

As far as Gradma goes, you’re absolutely correct! We had about 4 different wisks at home, we’re down to one and I beat our scrambled eggs with a fork instead, just like my grandma did! Knives we’re down to 3 - chef’s knife, boning knife & serrated bread knife.

I could go on, but you get the point - if you don’t use it; lose it!
