Temporary slip in Marina Del Rey

We needed to find somewhere to leave the boat (42 ft sail) for a week in April while we fly out of LAX. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced slip in MDR, San Pedro or Long Beach?

MDR has guest docks at Burton Chase Park, you can stay for 7 days, $1.00/foot/day

Shoreline Marina in Long Beach, has guest slips. $1.10/foot/day.

Don, thanks for the quick reply. Burton Chase Park docks are being rebuilt and are not available now may not be done when we need a space. Will keep looking, hoping to find a sublet for a week.

You might try Windjammers Yacht Club. Lot's of empty slips in front of their building but they may be too small.

Almar where I'm at has guest slips at $1.50/ft, couple hundred yards from Chase docks... Not the fanciest, but fantastic staff who will know if your boat dropped an inch, is making a noise, or needs a line tightened... Hotel is under deconstruction/construction... 15 min from LAX...

Julie is the Harbormaster... Amanda is the workhorse... All others helpful too...

Marina Slip Pricing | Marina del Rey Marina

Another option may be Marina City
Friend Alicia it the harbormaster there... Don't know if they have transient slips...

Tell 'em Ed in MS sent ya...

You bet...

There are probably cheaper options in San Pedro, but ya gotta long putt putt (45 min+) from the breakwater... and some are truly icky... If you are looking for fun walking distance restaurants... Shoreline is the ticket... 30 min to LAX

Just parking, I'd go MdR

PS Ask about the construction if you call Almar (and maybe a discount, cause the hotel is part of their amenities)... It should be well into "non construction dust phase", but I haven't been back to the boat since October, so I can't be sure.... Would hate to recommend a place that comes with a layer of dust upon your return....

Did king harbor ever get those guest moorings? If so, that'd be an option too. (I dunno.. Haven't been up that way for a looong time. Just remember an article a year or so ago about it)

Re: Temporary slip in Marina Del Rey

Have you considered looking at a chart of the area and calling the harbormasters?
