designed by a 6'4 inch designer, with 6'4 inch headroom plus 8 ft in main saloon...
look for tall designer.
might have a lil more freeboard but will be less prone to head injury on a daily basis

Grampian 34 -- 7 foot headroom throughout the galley and salon. At least 6 1/2' elsewhere. Good, solid, simple boats. Pretty inexpensive.

My 2006 Catalina 350 has 6'8" headroom throughout the main salon, v-berth and head. A great liveaboard! Spent 2 yrs aboard in San Diego. I'm 6'2", and the only thing I ever hit my head on the damn dodger frame. Go for '06 or earlier, since Catalina cut 4" of headroom out of the "Mark II" version in '07, along with a bunch of other cost-saving downgrades that they unfortunately continued in later years.

Re: Tall Person's Liveaboard Sailboat?

Take a look at Jeanneau DS models - we have lots of head room in ours 6'6" or so.
