First find you a
broker, the sellers broker is for the seller, not you.
A buyers broker can get a lot of info you may not be able to, like comps, and in the case of my
boat, we were able to find out what the seller paid for it.
Buyers broker has a list of good surveyors, a very through comprehensive
survey can of course save you some bad surprises, but can also be a very valuable tool for bargaining the final
price.
Oh and a buyers broker and the sellers broker split the comission, if there is no buyers broker, then the sellers keeps the whole lot, so having a buyers brokers costs you nothing
