I recently had an epiphany about House Hunters:

treat it like the comedy show it really is!

Two couples get together to buy a house in Mexico.

Wifey #1 loves it.

Wifey #2 hates it.

Why?

Too many Mexican tiles!!!!

I really can't make this stuff up!

Too fun.

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.

i cannot get over the first page of this kindergarten rant.
if you feel you LOSE time on a passage, you need to get the f off a boat. period.
if you are shopping the kmart and walmart of femininity, you might find some poor waif so blinded by a omygods a boat...that you might be able to keep her interested for a month or two.
get real, dood. yer not gonna FIND a woman in a boat unfinished and half baked with your shirt off and beeer in hand. doesnt mattewr what your fake 6 pak looks like.
fugeddaboudid.
completely.
if you are into chickadees half your age, grow a wallet and looks and make your boat be perfect and surprisingly girl oriented... rodlmffao. emphasis on wallet. oh yeah and get into that crap they callin music these days. yukkkkk.
sell boat, move to land and sail a rv around usa or wherever you reside mainly.

you MIGHT find REAL woman in a boat yard looking like sanding dust wearing holed clothing and spending time with her true love--her home and contents thereof.

I've been reading this thread and haven't thrown in my two cents but if I do, I'm sure you will add me to your ignore list as well.

I mean, we are all sailors and want to help out a fellow sailor, right?
My daughter is 26 & her boyfriend is 30 & I like him a lot ! BUT... When you look at the number of young (20 to 30) people who get married, make a baby or 2 only to "divorce" when the kids are 6 month or one year old, you really wonder if a 40 year old man wouldn't be better for your 26 year old daughter. Hopefully, the guy doesn't have any child from a previous relationship & is madly in love with your daughter who's strong enough to "manage" such a man...
Are we far enough from an oversized sailboat for a "man" with teenager dreams or should we keep on ?

PS: I forgot to say in my previous email that the St-Petersburg I was talking about, was the Russian St-Petersburg, not the Florida St-Pet

"
An 80 year old man was having his annual checkup, and the doctor asked him how he was feeling: "I've never been better!" he boasted: "I've got a 20 year old bride who's pregnant, and having my child! What do you think about that?"The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day went out in a bit of a hurry, and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun." The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods, and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear, and squeezed the handle." "And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.
Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No."
The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"
"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man. "Someone else must have shot that bear."
"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

Losers, i had a moment of weakness.

You know every last one of you guys would trade places with me in a second. You'd trade boats too.

Jealous and unhappy your lives are over while mine is still going on.

Enjoy.

Mods, feel free to close the thread. Im out.

I'll continue to date all the various 20 yr olds, go out and have fun, pick whatever hottie is most compatible and get married agqin...while you all are stuck with whatever lousy choices you made that make you so biitter and hostile.

Enjoy your easy chairs while I live the life you're angry you don't have.

Peace out... (close thread if you desire, mods, I'm not reading thie drivel anymore)

Boat: So many boats to choose from. Would prefer something that is not an AWB, and that is beachable...

Why?

You really think that nobody here knows that quantity is a poor substitute for quality?

What about pictures of the hordes of gorgeous women with said gorgeous self and preferably on said gorgeous boat? Or even near it?

Eighteen. Thats the age I would peg this response at.

As for dating 20 year old girls, I dont think so. As for swapping boats..... get a life fella, Yours is not working and from all the partying you do, probably wont be ready for the longest time.
Stuck with lousy choices in marriage? Seems your wife saw the light.....

We have a saying in Ireland. You cant help the helpless.

No more to be said.

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.

It is truly disappointing, just when things were gettin' good, that the OP actually responds and then belittles the responders, and then announces HE'S quittin'!

A Class act, all the way. Undoubtedly.

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.

There is simply not an issue with age gaps in a relationship in my book.
There is however an issue with immaturity.

Jes saying.

I wouldn't be too quick to knock his boat. I've been on it while it was being built. I have current pictures.....and no, I can't share. As for his wife "seeing the light", you really don't know what caused the divorce. Do you? Too bad for the OP, because he was faithful to his wife, and no doubt, had very deep feelings for her.

It's pretty sad that members really don't take his words as being honest. This probably isn't the best place to ask for counseling, but he put his feelings out there, and instead of getting helpful, mature advice, he just gets hammered, because he doesn't want to just "settle" for a relationship. He wants more than just "settling". At least, that's the way I see it. So, he likes younger women. What's wrong with that? So did my dad. My dad remarried when I was 8 years old. My step mom was 19. They lived a great life together until she died of cancer.

Well... this is cruiser's forum, where you can never get a clear answer about anything. If you are the Bumfuzzles, you get busted for being a newb sailing around the world. If you are Rebel Heart, you get busted for making a mistake or two. If you cruise on a Hunter, you're going to die! You can't safely cruise and anchor without a windlass. Well, we are all different, and not too many open-minded folks on CF from what I see. Good luck to the OP. We'll see you down in south Florida as soon as we can get there.
