Shorepower-Cost?

Hi,
i was wondering if anyone has any information about how much it would cost to rig a 1978 26' sailboat with shore power? The boat currently doesnt have shore power but would need it to live aboard. just a rough cost is all im looking for..

that all depends on how extensive you wish to go. how many appliances you want to run inside etc.... basic panel under $100 for a 30 amp dualpole reverse polarity, shore power inlet connector $50 shore power cord $50 wire etc $50. now if your talking multiple outlets in the boat costs obviously start going way up.

im thinking of paying someone to install the shore power so:

labor fees
equipment fees
2 or 3 outlets in the boat (one in the head for sure)

needs to run:
microwave
small window unit A/C
computer
lights
curling iron
fans etc

that many appliances i would think you would want a multi breaker panel. something with a 30 dp breaker as the 110 feed then 3-4 breakers of suitable amperage to feed your devices. installing 2-3 110 outlets in your boat shouldnt take long . several things to keep in mind with a 30 amp shorepower you wont be running your a/c curling iron and m/w at the same time. am thinking you should be able to have all this accomplished labor and materials for around $1000.

In my boat way below 500. 26' boat. Shore not linked to 12V (other than via the shore charger).
