shore power cat 27

i just got a cat27 '73 model, is the sts only for the electrical plugs? I am getting a battery for it this week and see if it will run the boats lights and things and but i thought i might ask. thank you for any input...

I would expect the electrical outlets would be wired to 110 shore power, while the cabin lights, fans, water pumps, etc would be on the 12v circuit. You should spend some time getting to know your electrical panels. Also, some of the wiring on the older boats did not stand the test of time. We had to replace all our 110 wiring with properly tinned wire. A definite fire hazard - especially if you plan to run a space heater.
