Re: Sexiest interior fixtures?

What is a forcula? Hmmm, have to be careful who I say that to.

Most Coveted Fittings...

Workbench with patternmaker's vice, small lathe, mill & surface grinder, portable anvil, hearth & crucibles, portable compressor & welder, router & saw bench etc etc. On 14m, I might actually fit some of that in. Tending towards hand tools rather than power, so that list is shortening with time.

Rum still & beer brewing kit, couple of nice oak barrels (little ones, just a couple of gallons each...personall ushe onlee, honesht...hic), bottle rack in bilge. With bonding hatch to keep customs happy.

Parasail/lifting kite. Can't get comfy down in the sweltering tropical humidity? Reel out a half mile of line and go hang out with the seagulls.

Firefighting monitor and pump. Probably scrounged off old firetruck...the kind one can use from inside the cab. Good for deck washdown, water fog for cooling, or hosing things down that need a few tons of seawater thrown at them.

Gimballed astrodome with pelorus, sextant & powerful telescope. Gonna get that sight no matter what the weather is...

Aussie-size barbie on deck. Barbecue that is, not plastic inflatable blonde.

A barge winch, the hand operated kind...about 7 ton pull, 40 ton holding, steel wire rope. Just seems like a handy thing to have on a boat.

Lots of other stuff, too much to list here.

That phrase had me looking at the grab rails in the cab.

Re: Sexiest interior fixtures?

If grab rails above the bunk don't count as a sexy fixture, how about a cherry & teak coffee table w/jade inlay or a wrap around galley....16sq ft of tounge & groove cumaru and a 4sq ft birch and apitung cutting block. Or fold down cherry table w/ cherry & bronze fiddle.

Re: Sexiest interior fixtures?

ok, how about these: 316 SS IP67 Submersible L.E.D. light fixtures. They are $20 at West Marine. The pictures don't really do them justice. They come in white red or blue.

Re: Sexiest interior fixtures?

I just added a 7" bronze Seth Thomas 8-day bulkhead clock (right next to the mast so viewable from helm), next to a gimbled brass oil lamp and above the fold up cherry table w/ cherry and bronze fiddle.

LASS--YOU ROCK!!!!!

wolfenzee--wow--cool sounding items--i guess i need to ditch my boring all teakwood with carvings interior for some exotic hardwood tablery....want dragons--my formosa doesnt have enough of em--mebbe some dragons in rose wood or some pretty stuff.....

i love brass and bronze in my boring interior--would love to find the original fixtures for formosas and refit using those--they beat these new fangled not as pretty thingies....

Thanks Zee
Not fair that only the men have eye candy here, so I thought I would even things out a little

Oh, the clock sounds wonderful! Clocks are one of the few things I do miss a little while cruising (that and the washing machine).
Is it one originally made for the navy?
Any photos?

Are you sure you're using the right chain for that application?

Also might need a windlass for that application.

On your suggestion I tried to give the chain a closer inspection, but I got a little distracted along the way

No problem, I am sure his chain would fit my windlass just fine
