Re: Savannah Liveaboard

You may want to change your plans. I believe the state or Georgia prohibits live aboards. Could be wrong, but that was my understanding when I looked into it a couple years ago.

I think they've softened their stance lately but you are right Georgia has some strict rules re living aboard.

I would suggest you contact "isle of hope" Marina. 15 minute drive from downtown savannah and right on icw.

Re: Savannah Liveaboard

Thank you for your reply. Isle of Hope is where we are planning to live. What I was looking for was to talk to people already living aboard in Savannah. I guess I was not clear on what I was looking for.

I didn't know that, I know there are a great many houseboats with people living on them, I guess illegally?

Re: Savannah Liveaboard

The liveaboard laws were changed a year or two ago and now liveaboard is allowed in Georgia. That is when we decided to take advantage of the change and make the move.
