Renting a Boat to Live Aboard

Has anyone heard of being able to rent a boat to live on it? I'm in the St Pete area

I have never heard of it but anything is possible these days!

The biggest issue I can see is who would be responsible for maintenance? Maintenance or repairs can cost many times the monthly rent, especially if anything were not taken care of right away.
Boats are also depreciating assets, rather than houses or apartments which appreciate most of the time. The hope is always that the rent will cover house payments, taxes and insurance...plus a little for maintenance and profit, from the landlords point of view. The house appreciating while the mortgage is decreasing is a plus in the end.
The opposite would be true for a boat. It works sometimes for charters...but what you pay per week to rent the boat is enormous....enough to cover the costs and make money for the charter company.
To come out ahead a boat owner would have to charge a mighty big rent...the kind you could rent a huge house for!
