Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

La Ruina seems like a name someone's disapproving wife would choose.

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

The Spencer 42 is a good solid cruiser. But the waterline is not 36 feet. Sailboatdata is incorrect. Sailcalc lists the waterline at 30 feet which is correct I believe. Look at the overhangs.

Congratulations by the way. And I would change the name.

I've been doing that to see how common some names are.

way back when I was looking at getting a Grand Banks, I was going to call it "High Planes Drifter" surprisingly only one other boat out there with that name.

Don't forger to pay homage to Neptune with a proper renaming ceremony
As a trusty shellback of the kings high court I would be happy to instruct and assist in this most auspicious endeavor .

Re: Renegade Sailing Adventures.

On the flip side though, I bet I am the only one who has ever registered a boat with a home port listed as Bear Creek Montana...

You are saying that the stern overhang and the bow overhang are only 6' total? If so you need a new measuring tape.

The 30' measurement comes from Sailboatdata which is wrong on many boats.

Sailcalc is much more accurate. Even a modern boat like the Tartan 41 only has a 32' waterline.
