So I have a 6' pole spear and I'm in south Florida. I plan on cruising the Caribbean and would like to bring it with. Will this be an issue? Not exactly sure where so I know that's kind of vague but any info may help me plot a course! Thanks people of the cf! Also I'm sure there may be a thread on this already , my search thing is havin issues

Re: Pole spear in Caribbean

It won't be an issue anywhere, although in the Bahamas you must declare it on checkin to use it. However, in the Eastern Caribe, it is pretty much useless because there are no fish left to spear.

Re: Pole spear in Caribbean

Great in the Bahamas. Just ask for a fishing license when you check in. No charge for the fishing license. Handy to have a pole spear on the boat. Have used it to clean out blockage in head hose. ( Remove hose from head first )
