Be aware that hogHunter has a business relationship with Navionics. If you search around, you will find that his opinion of Navionics in the Bahamas is much different than that of others.

Things could be better with the most current Navionics - I don't know.

The ONLY charts that are dead-on accurate and complete in the Bahamas are the Explorer charts. I think Garmin and CMap license these charts, but I don't know if they are available for the iPad.

There are older versions of the Explorer charts in electronic format (BSB, KAP). You could use these on an iPad with a program like SEAiq. Even these older versions are remarkably accurate.
