Congrats on achieving "homeless" status, Mark! Where are you planning to cruise, and where do you keep your boat now? Mine's in Twin Dolphin Marina, across the river from Palmetto.

Glad to find another homeless person here, I have been homeless for the last two weeks and I must say that it feels great to be land homeless and be on the boat

Thanks Hud - we've seen your boat there many times. Looks great but I'd rather live in Nevis We're at Regatta Pointe for the time being.

Shakedown cruise to Naples area next week, then back here mid-April to tie up some loose ends and do the final 'gut check' with the Admiral to see if we're going to venture blindly into the sunset. We'll be US coastal & Bahamas until next winter, then hopefully down your way.

Scary / exhilarating all at once ...

Congradulation Mark. We plan on being liveaboards by the middle of July. We have a 27' Norsea. Our shakedown will be the Baja Ha Ha. Then we are off to the Papagos and New Zealand.

time to adjust your thinking...

...because houseless isn't necessarily homeless.

It will get even stranger, of course. At some point you'll have departed from the "home" marina, and then, when you're about to return, you'll think, "time to go home." But then you'll realize you're already home, because you took it with you. Home left the neighborhood for a short time, but you never left home.

Congrats, one way or the other. And welcome to the club.

We also are in Palmeto and planning to be homeless in the next few months. We depart at the end of hurricane season for (some) years in the Caribbean. Our shake down cruise is 2 weeks the first half of May to Key West and the Dry Tortugas.

Hud, I was surprised to hear you are here. your profile says Nevis, AH...Piney's Beach...

As Bash said, "it will get even stranger", but then after time home on the boat will be the norm. We've been living in our normal home on board for 38 years. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew
