On a Shoestring and a Prayer

we've been cruisin n travelling since 1982.
first 12 years we never had a fridge.
here are some of the ways we found to feed ourselves and our crew.
during two and a half circumnavigations by yacht and one by land in a tent.

it would be great to have some other recipes from those who did it on a shoestring and a prayer .
top ten recipies
1 ham and pea soup (smoked ham and dried peas)
2spaghetti al pesana(choriso,onion garlik,tom puree)
2tuna and potatoes(fresh tuna fried with garlik then boiled with tatties)
4spanish tortilla(eggs flour garlik potaoes onion olive oil)
5muesli(rolled oats,peanuts ,rasins,dried fruit)
6 dried tuna(salted and dried in nets)
7 fish cakes(fried up,tuna,rice flour,egg
8soda bread(flour water salt baking powder)
9ceviche(tuna,coconut milk,lemon juice ,garlik,salt)
10 clams polynesian(pouwah clams,garlik,curry powder,coconut milk,rice)

yum yum
