NW Caribbean Net 2015

If I have posted this on the wrong forum, apologies and please move it to the correct place

Having managed to escape the Rio Dulce at last and now anchored in Placencia Belize, we have discover that no one is running the NW Caribbean Net on the SSB at the moment so I will start the net up again on Monday 14th December 2015.

NW CARIBBEAN NET DETAILS
The net meets daily at 0800 Belize and Honduras time, 1400 GMT, on 6209 USB

We have alternative frequencies of 6516 and 6212 which we use if there are problems with the primary frequency. Frequency changes will be directed by Net Control as required.

(At the moment there are Spanish speaking fishermen on 6209 so I will announce any frequency changes about 2 minutes before the hour and on the hour, I will probably use 6516 as it has better separation from 6209.)

The NW Caribbean Net roughly covered the area from the Southern USA down to Providencia, any further south is within the SW Caribbean Net and the Panama Nets

The net will cover the following

1. Emergency, Medical or Priority traffic
2. Vessels underway. (To identify what weather areas are required)
3. A short Weather Forecast followed by Weather fills and questions.
4. Then we'll move on to General check-ins including question/QSTs

Please pass on the word to other cruisers and please feel free to join in if you have SSB and are in the area otherwise I will be talking to myself (as usual!!!)
