are too expensive, sometimes boat movers have, or know of yards where you can keep & work on the boat for less $, even in CA. Or if you're anticipating doing lot of jobs/a long haulout, look into renting
a lot/space at a light industrial yard or similar. Often enough you can find one that's a bit inland for a reasonable rate. And try & find one where your neighbors wont mind the noise
& dust generated by boat projects.
