Need Advice on Selling My S-2 9.2 CC

We have one boat too many so it is time to sell the S-2. It would be a great live-aboard boat because it has a separate aft cabin as well as the V berth. It even has the teeny Bathtub in the Head at the mid section of the boat.

What would you do? Go with a broker? Advertise on Craigs list? Advertise somewhere else?

The Marina she is in (on the dry after the bottom was painted) won't allow any signs like "for sale by owner".

Need some advice as to how to best market and sell this boat.

Craigs List is an inexpensive place to start. A realistic price also helps. Be sure you want to put up with people calling and not showing up at the designated time. Good luck.

I made the decision to move up about a week ago and asked myself the same question.


Placed an ad in Craig's List and in Sailboat Listings.com- I have had 3 contacts from what I believe are "buyers". They may not buy my boat, but they will be buying something. Total investment in marketing $0.00. Hopefully, it comes together.
