LowCountry, it is is not so much what he may have done as to where he lives and his age. My 21 yr old daughter lives in Boston while attending college and her car insurance is $200 bucks a month with an absolutely clean driving record. In Massachusetts she won't get a price break until she is 25.

Thanks.
Every time I ask this question after seeing good pics, without fail they're using a Canon. Not always such a professional model, but a Canon, 5 out of 5 times now.
I guess I'll have to buy a Canon

I've considered getting one of the Canon Eos cameras. I've seen several people with one model or another. They look pretty nice, but can't afford anything like that at the moment.

Very nice pictures.

Nice model photos on your flickr site. The 135L is a lovely lens.

Good luck with your dream.

Yeah. I'm looking at the EOS 550D. It looks pretty good and you can get it with a lens kit that includes a 18-55, and a 55-250mm. Probably a good place to start for around $900.

if you can do it , go for it, just remember that whether you are living aboard, extended crusing, weekedning or day sailing, s long as YOU are having fun and enjoy it, then it really does not matter which.
Have fun make sailing part of your lifestyle, and you'll gorw up with no regrets my friend.
