Not to thread hijack, but anchored in Bahia cay, we had quite a merry group of small boat sailors, of which, at 28' I was the longest, and, single handed, had the most space per capita. A couple on the afore-mentioned seaward 26, a family of three on a compac-19, a family of four on a hunter 26, and one person on a precision 17 who had sailed from Melbourne over a month long cruise. We had a great time together. With the smaller boats that had almost no draft to speak of most of them had just tied up ashore and walked in whenever they felt they wanted more space, or slipped nd saved a bundle because they were so small!
Reminded me of the four summers I spent living in a van flipping houses, great times!

I am a tiny space proponent myself. I have noticed that if a large flat space exists it usually ends up filled with clutter, thus wasted space.
I think a small boat would actually have more usuable space than many of my apartments have had. Usuable space meaning; hanging lockers, lockers, cabinets, and stowage under the seating, built in book cases, etc.

I think you should give a look at the morgan 28 OutIsland. 9ft wide draws 36 inches, long solid straight heavy keel. head room for a six footer. toilet and shower for a fat man. Ive never had one but Ive been in one and they are almost exactly like my Morgan 30 Out Island. Mac

Raised deck makes for a lot of room below for the size of boat. Nicely laid out. Headroom is a little short but I am 6'2" so that's always an issue on a boat.

As for "cosy" and "comfy" know that light is often the key to happiness. ANY boat you chose can be made better. Mine's improved (so I'd like to think) and she's definitely more comfortable than at purchase. Yours will too -- you'll find things that "could be better" and change them.

Bones count so remember "Boats are sold by the pound" just like cars.

A member sent me a private message saying it might help if I let everyone know where I am located (delivery costs, etc.).

I am located in Seattle, Washington. However, If I get my online enterprises going and get an income that isnt tied to me being at a land location (which is required for this scheme to work) I intend to uproot and go where the boat I find is. I may navigate back to Seattle but I have a lot of places I would rather go first.

Besides, getting out of Washington would allow me to order fine tobacco online again. A reason in itself to make a new home.
