Re: Mail Forwarding

The only Dr Lic Ive had for years is a International Lic Issued in Spain in 1971! it's still accepted at least here in Louisiana! Connie has a local one but she's not required to serve jury duty as a ICU nurse, So we don't have to worry about jury duty. If you don't have a current Dr lic you wont get jury summons! just a thought !! Plus I don't think Homeland requires you to Have Dr Lic ??

Re: Mail Forwarding

Bobconnie--that may work for you in Louisiana for your purposes, but a lot of us like to rent cars occasionally when cruising, etc. Or, we just want to keep a car someplace we come back to occasionally. You will be surprised next time you go to get a "real" license, at least in most states. Now you have to be able to prove your ID with multiple sources, including evidence of your street address, your social security number, etc. Without an existing license you would be starting from ground zero. Here's a link to Louisiana's current ID requirements for a license. If you got pulled over with that international license someplace in the USA you might be in a heap of trouble.

You can go to any courthouse in Florida and get a Declaration OF Domicile. Or you can use your documentation provided it shows the boat as documented in Florida and you have a current Florida Use Sticker. A copy of your marina agreement will also probably be needed. We have used NATO in Sarasota, Florida for 15 years and they have done a fantastic service for us. Chuck
