I don't see this anchorage on the chart, also I think its MM 1231, and Similar sound is more like 1'.

Similar Sound is on the East side of Geiger Key and North of Saddlebunch Harbor.

My boat draws 7 feet and have found it easy to get into Similar Sound. There is one tight spot in the South end of the Sound, North end of small island.

Ok, where do you leave the channel? between G15/R16? I assume you mean one of the small islands just east of R16?

Don't leave the channel, stay between 'R' and 'G', the tight spot is near 'R15'. The harbor is South of Similar Sound and only room for a few boats.
The two rows of submerged pilings are from the old road system. There is a new boat ramp with parking on the north end of the Sound.

Don't bother with behaving, take the tunnel to Hemmingway Marina.

Someone should update Active Captain. Saddlebunch Harbor is tiny compared to Similar Sound.

Did they dredge Similar? The charts show one-foot depths easternward, Looks like threes and fours towards the west side, of the rows of submerged piles, or do I take it you are suggesting anchoring between the rows of pilings?

Try Google Earth, it might clarify the anchorage area for you.
I have never seen the submerged piles.

I think he is suggesting to anchor in the channel between G15 and R16, chart shows deep water in between pilings, but I wouldn't try that with a cruising size boat, since the channel seems to go nowhere now, probably anywhere in the channel would work, it's a shame the keys don't have more anchorages on the hawk side.

Not to be picky , but when navigating the devil is in the details, is it R16 or G15 or between them?
