Looking for small standing freezer

I have a refrigerator/freezer installed that has enough room in the freezer to make ice cubes. I am having a cabinet with drawers installed under the instrument consul seat with drawers, but it occurred to me it would make a great spot for a dedicated freezer. I thought Engel or Dometic made a small standing freezer but I believe I am wrong. Ideas?

Re: Looking for small standing freezer

best if you give the actual dimensions of the space

Dometic makes drawer units that could stack, ColdEH was selling some for about $400, but never confirmed they could be run as a freezer or nor, I think they used the smallest size Danfoss

Re: Looking for small standing freezer

I have an Engel 35 quart size frig/freezer. It will cool or freeze depending on the setting, and it runs on either 12V or 120V. Switches voltage automatically as it has a sensor. I have both a freezer and frig on my boat, so I use the Engel for overflow or most often for beverages so I am not constantly opening the frig. At the beginning and end of the season, I use it to bring or take home refrigerated items. Works like a champ!

The Engel website will have the dimensions of its various models. The company makes several sizes. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I have been planning to use an Engel 40 sitting beside the cabinet I talked about in the original post, but decided something in the cabinet would work well in terms of space.

2 Engles one for a fridge one for a freezer. Low current draw.

On a smaller boat, I used an Engle freezer for food and to make ice at night and transferred ice bottles in the morning to super Kooler where milk, butter and veggies were stored.

Whynter is a name worth searching. I have the 62 Qt. Chest freezer. https://www.whynter.com/product-cate...dges-freezers/

Re: Looking for small standing freezer

You said you have a small fridge/freezer. Maybe this is it, or maybe it would work for your application: very small 1.4 cu ft front or top opening.

Why don't you just get a small ice maker if you already have a frig/freezer that is adaquate?

Whynter makes free standing icemakers, but not 12V, would need an inverter an probably thirsty
