Any recommendations for sailing the med in autumn / spring time and wintering for a good price?

Well if you dont mind life on the hook and are happy to dinghy to town Syracusa has a great well sheltered anchorage to winter in.. Malta just 80 odd miles to the S for occasional diversity.

Sounds good, but if we not head for the Atlantic this year, we will probably need to fly home for a some time, so a sheltered marina would be a better place I guess.

I can recommend you the Marina di Cala del Sole in Licata, South of Sicily.

We stayed there in the last two winters.

Big liveaboard community with many activities.

Low prices for berthing and living.

Lovely typical Sicilian city just nearby the marina.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
