Living on a ericson 26-2

What are your thoughts of making an Ericson 26-2 as my home and island hoping the Caribbean? Looking at retiring on it within the next two years. She has been reworked with all new halyards, sheet, lines, boom travel, new high end Cam Cleats. All the wiring and lighting has been updated and uses LEDs, The VHF radio has been updated to the latest Radio with GPS and single touch distress call. New depth and Nautlog with GPS. Fuel system and engine have been rebuilt. bottom paint is complete. The water system is the last item needing to be done.

Wish list for her is a genarator, solar panels and a SSB radio.

Has it been done before and safely?
