Liveaboard UK

The British Government recently asked local councils to consider granting additional planning consents to liveaboards, in order to assist with the housing shortage.

Anyone know of any councils that did that?

Re: Liveaboard UK

No and in fact the opposite happened although it was a commercial land lord that was the villain, however some poor sods lost their home.

BBC News - Houseboat tenants 'forced to move' from Bembridge home

The courts ruled in favour of Tristmire, which can now evict the couple, as they have no protection under the Housing Act.

Anywhere you might want to moor probably now has an army of NIMBYs (not in my back yard) opposed to house boats.

There are some posts about similar problems in the US on here too.
