Yup. (?) , Craigslist are also good sources.
Google maps will help out with local routes and stops.
In the US most phone books also have locally important #s in the first few pages.
I bought used bikes along the way.

Posts: 76 is a great website to check out. Shows terrain so you know if you have hills to climb. Also handy for coastal cruising to id wind gaps.
