Live Aboard Marinas - Vancouver BC?

Hello,
I am considering living aboard in Vancouver, BC, but am finding it difficult to locate a marina that legally allows me to do so.

Does anyone know what marinas that allow for full time live aboard status in this area?

Thanks.

Hey JJ,

I'm living aboard in False Creek currently. There are a few liveaboard marinas around, but there are long waiting lists at each one. Personally I have adopted a lifestyle where my sailboat, my rowboat and my bicycle are my only modes of transportation, and consider marinas to be more places for people who need a parking spot for their car... but then again, this is also about to be my first winter onboard, so I may well change my tune.

There's a lot of freedom in living aboard without a marina, though there are also a few downsides - namely the big court case currently in court deciding whether or not the False Creek anchoring permits are legal...

From what my research turned up, there are a few, but currently waiting lists are several years.

I've not found any in the area with a reasonable waiting list, though I'll admit I haven't researched *too* extensively. I believe I found one in Sydney BC on Vancouver island. Not that this does you any good, but... :-)
