Hope I'm not jumping the gun or jinxing the deal, but my offer was accepted and I'm really excited - as many of you advised, when you see THE ONE, you just know it.
303 in excellent condition with many upgrades and electronics
. The elderly gentleman sold for health
reasons, and even offered to help me do some maintenance
and sail with me to literally show me the ropes and idiosyncracies - even gave me the mooring
for the rest of the season for free, including unlimited water
So, I called my insurance
company and they'll check on surveyors - get that ball rolling. IF all goes well, I'll take possession before the end of September. But, I'll actually be sailing it with my new mentor in the meantime. I should have a slip and be living aboard
by October or sooner.
Thanks to all for your help. The "what boat should I buy questions are over, for a while" and the other newbie questions about everything else will begin!!
