I Need manly and probably moral advice

My avatar may not look like I shave, and I still have a full beard, however i do trim around the edges and in my early to mid 20 s I did shave my whole face (damn military you know). Learned that a good sable brush and Mach 3 razor are the best, most comfortable shaving tools around. Even if you use shaving cream, heat the brush, put the cream on the brush and lather up. I would actually recommend that you use a good shaving soap in a shaving cup with a good sable brush. Old Spice make a nice soap and sell the shaving cups and refills. Heat the water and the soap and brush, lather up the brush, lather up the face, Mach 3 razor...you will thank me daily for the rest of your life.

Why don't you just bring the can in the shower with you? Put it on the floor where the water will hit it. Then it will be warm without you hogging a sink and using extra water.

Full beard here as well and do the edges and neck with razor. Use bic disposables, dry shave. have done for over forty years. The skin gets used to it and so do the eyes, they stop watering after a while.

Edit: I must add that Bic disposable razors are the most god awful razor devices ever foisted on man or woman. IMHO of course.

You are a sailor, grow a pair or get used to cold water. There are some metrosexual products like pre shave balms and no water smooth shave cream. I do not use them but for some reason I get them as gifts. I have a full beard and trim with scissors and a bic disposable razor.

Shave in the shower. Shampoo makes a fine shaving lubricant. Quick, easy, and no sink to clean up. I have a beard but trim around the edges every couple of days 😄

You live in a blank blank desert! What the blank bland are you doing leaving water running at all, let alone hot water? Have you not considered conservation at all?

I manage to shave with an old fashioned Gillette razor and double edge blades, and use cold water. ....and I'm female, not tough, or wildly strong. But I live on a boat, and choose not to waste our propane (to heat the water). On those rare occasions when I am land based, I stick to boating practice, because it isn't God that gives us the gas for the heat, in San Diego, it's SDG&E. Why should anyone waste his resources? And of course, water is most precious of all.
