Suffice to say, bristles rubbing on sensitive areas are plain horrid .

For once, I am really sorry I posted the comment about shaving and wimpy women.

Re: I Need manly and probably moral advice

This was great, lots of laughs and very informative on the subjects of hair removal, Veet, the effects of facial hair on women and how not to waste water to warm up shaving cream...

Tacoma, I am curious - after you'r back from your shower house ritual, let us in on what manly action you'll take, or won't.

Re: I Need manly and probably moral advice

I am considering several possible actions as a result of this very informative discussion because, last night while standing before the urinal in preparation for a short but soothing hot shower, (did I mention most of my best and most useful thoughts occur while standing in that revered spot that only a real man can enjoy?),, it occurred to me, or perhaps it was revealed to me in the splashing as the water ran into the big white bowl on the wall, that there was a very easy and practical solution to the hot water on my shaving creme being shut off when I was not looking and the poor shaving creme was defenseless in the that 2-quarts of hot water (is this a complete sentence yet and can it be diagrammed?); all I had to do was

- REMOVE THE HOT WATER SPIGOT HANDLE FROM THE SINK

or better yet (did I mention I usually have a beer or two before taking my shower?)

- LOCK THE OUTSIDE DOOR TO THE RESTROOM SO I HAVE ALL FOUR SHOWERS AND SINKS TO MYSELF

That's the manliest way to go. Let us know how it works out.

Re: I Need manly and probably moral advice

I’m somewhat disappointed, as you will invariably clash with your irate marina mates as you walk out.
I was expecting a manly truce with Mrs Tacoma, so that you could skip this ritual and gain a few minutes every couple of days and start looking like a manly old salt. But hey, after 39 years she may not budge and this will have to do -- and you’ll live happily ever after.

Happy (warm) shaving.
