I'm in the beginning stages of planning my move aboard a boat, but upon trying to figure out an insurer, I realized that living aboard
season (in the St. Maarten area) would not be covered by most, if any plans. With that being said, I would love to head
south of the hurricane
belt for the season in Bonaire
So my question becomes: is it worth it to sail strait back to the northern Caribbean
, and how long would it take? If not, what are my other options for hurricane season to live aboard?
PS: I would prefer to stay in the Caribbean
but avoid waters any closer to SA than the ABC islands (due to dangerous waters near Venezuela
