Hurricane Matthew

As the hurricane hits our floating home in West Palm Beach, and I watch helplessly from the hotel room we evacuated to in Ft. Meyers, I want to send prayers, light and love to all the east Florida-based liveaboards.

I hope you all found safe harbors and that this nightmare will soon end. And mostly I hope all your loved ones make it out of this safely.

Good on ya, Makuta.

Our thoughts are with them all, as well.

Re: Hurricane Matthew

How did you fare?

I'm getting the remnants of Matthew now, tonight. I'm in a Marina on the Potomac River aboard ship.

A LOT of rain all day, for going on 16 hours now. Nothing but steady rain. We've had probably three breaks in the rain, but it has been constant. Supposed to get some wind later tonight. And we're rocking at the docks, but probably nothing like you experienced there at West Palm Beach. I hope your boat is ok!

Re: Hurricane Matthew

So grateful to report that we had zero damage! The hurricane did not make full landfall here as predicted.

It was a crazy few days as we evacuated. My kids and I were interviewed by CNN, CBC (Canada) and Fox 10 in Phoenix about the evacuation.

How did everyone else fare?
