I've often wondered how different boats approach the same thing. A few other cruisers and myself have decided to do a series on our blogs where we all write about the same topic in the same month. Many don't drift off into individual's blogs. I tend to bog down in blogs, but if you come up with a particularly active or interesting "how do you do it topic"; then, post it here.

This will probably end up being more for people who don't live on boats to read about how we do but I think it's good for us as well. The idea is that even if you don't write up something specifically for this but have written something on the topic in the past you can link up that article allowing people to find multiple in depth points of view all at once. I actually do find reading blogs of others helpful but I agree that you have to read through a lot of useless stuff to find the stuff you want to know. I usually find the discussion boards more tedious because there are so many threads on the same topic and a lot of nonsense answers.

Thanks to those who have responded. I have a group of people who are excited and think this is a great project. There are a lot of people who do read blogs (a lot). They are mostly non-cruisers and this project is for those people. If you are interested in having some topics to write about on your blog and want to connect with other sailing bloggers than let me know otherwise I'm not really interested in the negative comments. Our first topic is going to be hobbies (or basically anything that you do to have fun and keep busy on board). Let me know if you want to be a part of this.

right now my hobbies are inclusive of fixing boat, repairing boat and making boat modifications to my boat so i can go many more miles without problems....oh, yes, and saving for a haulout...LOL

Please don't interpret my comment as negative. My intention is only to suggest that those of us that rarely read blogs would benefit from you posting the more interesting or unique topics on this forum.
