Help! Floor Paint Color Advice Needed

Help! I'm trying to decide what color to paint my main cabin floor; any color ideas welcome, particularly 'what has worked for you?”
I've just re-covered the soft furnishings in a teal blue fabric, the other predominant colors are from wood panelling and off-white cream wall areas. The current color on the floor is a Taubmans color called 'mango slushy' – it's warm yellowy, it's been ok for quite awhile but now I'm finding it too strong.

What kind of flooring is it? That may make a difference, but, as far as my initial opinion.. if it were me, I think I would do a medium colored soft grey and toss some decorative rugs down. Then pick an accent color or two for pillows , and a few wall hangings. With teal, I love a light coral.. I think yellow would be great.. or, if you like the "sea" colors, add a few other colors of blues, turqois.. aqua. but not on the floor. leave the floor very neutral. I mean.. do you really want people's attention to go to your floor? or, do you want them to be drawn to the settee? or to look at the interesting things on the walls...
